Some what tight table, about 39% seeing the flop against a semi tight player.

Ok so I bet out to see if he has a King . He's telling me he does. Should I fold it up now? Call? Or fire back?

Somewhat tight at 39%?

I've been playing the Paradise 1-2 lately and it's usually 28-32% on average. You're lucky to be at this table. I don't know what's going on. I look at the 2/4 game and it's like 38-43% avg flop.

If only I had the bankroll.

And I call down as well. He could have a pocket pair JJ-88 or he could simply be represeting trips. Most players would slowplay trips. I expect to be beat though. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

I'll 3-bet here. A)If he just calls I'll come out firing again on the turn. If he raises me then I'll fold. B) if he caps it I'll call and check the turn, if he bets I'm done with this hand.

Now here's something to think about. If he has the K he's more likely to just call your bet with the intention on raising you on the turn or river. Why would he raise here and make you fold on the flop by representing trips when the bets on the turn/river are bigger?

Well Five limpers in this hand (if I can count) So it wasn't that tight at the moment. But yeah most of the tables, are like trying to stuff a marshmellow in a coin slot. /images/graemlins/grin.gif Tight!

I'll 3-bet here.

Ugh, this can't be good. He either has us badly beat or he is drawing somewhere between 0-3 outs. This is a classic spot to just call down.

Ok, In hindsight I should have called down the flop bet. I've been trying to work on my aggression, so I fired back at him, because I'm a passive player. I realize this wasn't the best spot to do that, and I ended up getting lucky on the turn. Otherwise I would have had to call him down and I would have lost extra bets.

I also wonder had the flop not gotten capped would he have capped the turn?

I think a flop re-raise is good or a call. You did get lucky, but he probably never saw it coming. Nice hand. What did he have btw?

He was slowplaying AKo If he would have raised it PF I might have folded after his raise on the flop. Or I would have at least called.

Explain to me why a 3-bet on the flop is good, because I can't see why once it gets HU.
