Villain was 72/4/.7 over 50 hands. Anyone play it differently?

At least you bet the flop, you pansy.

Against this guy, I play the river about like that. Well, no, I'm weak-tight. But if I'm you, I play it like that.

Unless the opponent is super duper super super passive, raising this river is standard.

As is calling the 3-bet?

Yeah. His numbers suggest he IS very loose-passive, but you can't fear the runner-runner backdoor flush so badly that you'll fold a set of aces. Call, and for every flush you lose to, you'll beat a smaller set or two pair.

Whats the point of the river raise? The 2s doesn't hit many hands except for a flush draw. If he's bluffing he'll toss it to your raise, if he's got a flush he'll 3 bet.

With numbers like that, I'd suspect that villian hit two pair w/A2 or a set of deuces far more often than the runner runner flush. Both of those hands will at least call a raise.

I don't think he's 3-betting two pair or a smaller set on this river, but I still can't imagine myself folding top set to a suspected backdoor flush. That's a bigger laydown than I can make (and I'm not sure I'd want to be able to fold it anyway).
