I am hoping to get a general idea on how most players log their winnings and necessary tax information. In the scenario that you get audited, what do you show the IRS in hopes that it holds up?

I have read in a tax book that you need player's names, but online this isn't a great possibility with many people leaving the tables and playing more tables at once.

A simple solution is to have a journal of your winnings and losings every time you leave the table. Include how many people was at the table, the stakes, and how long you sat down at it. I was also thinking of PokerTracker stats. If PokerTracker can basically show you every hand played, this should look great if it agrees with your journal contents.

Neteller receits and logs would also benefit you as well I would think.

Anything else?
