Has anybody ever noticed (I am sure you have) that anytime a major sportsbook moves its line, all the others usually do. I only have one theory why that is, but I wanted some experts to help me out with it. My theory is simple, which is why I feel that it can't be 100% accurate. If Book A, B, C, all move spread up from 2pts to 3 pts, then book D fears that it will get bet on to heavy on the favorite, because its line is soft (example would work on book d fearing that the dog would get bet to heavy if it went from 3 to 2.). That is the only theory I can come up with for this. Because I find it hard to believe that if Book A's line jumps two points because of to much action on one side and then at the same time Book B's line changes because it has to much action on one side. Unless they all use the same line service, but even then, wouldn't the books still be unbalanced because of previous action. Anyway, hope this post makes sense.
