Greetings all,

I am thinking of trying a 10-20-20-30 game rather than the 10-20 structure I am used to. I am pretty good about calculating pot-odds in terms of $$$ and not bets, so this should be no big deal, but I am wondering what other adjustments I should make to my game.

My initial thoughts are that implied odds grow on your draws, cause of the big bet on the end. I would also think that this gives you a better oppurtunity to bluff on the end. Any suggestions or comments would be great.

From what I have read, value bet less frequently on the end with something like top pair, top kicker. This is because frequently players wait for the river (rather than the turn) to raise you. Your value bet has much less value in these spots. As to your other comments, I am no expert, but I would certainly recommend the chapter in the Brier book that addresses these three-tiered games.

Out of curiosity, where is that game spread? I've seen 3-tiered games before, but never above the 4-8-12 level.

The Tropicana in Atlantic City will sometimes spread this game. Usually, if this game is going a $10-$20 is not, so its a drive over to the Taj if I choose to not partake.

I believe the expert players have a tremendous advantage in a spread limit. Hope you do well in it. Please let us know how the game goes.
