Do you chat while playing poker? I mean at the table with the players you are playing, be it good or bad chat, ie cursing when you get bad beat, or just general chat.

Do you feel it can affect your game? Better to turn off?

Anyone improve when they stopped it?

Anyone think, leave it on, and read or actually chat as its part of the fun of playing?

I ask in this forum as at a 6 max table its more personal than a full ring.

Chat, good or bad, let me know.

only when im bored. Usually just gibberish talk, never insult other players. However if I am losing and some guy is sticking it to me, then when I take a hand off him I like to stick it back to him.

Most of my chat is making fun of people who are berating the fish. This is actually really amusing to me. Also I will occasionally compliment someone on the way they played a hand, and I will always say "ty" if someone says "nh," sarcastic or otherwise.

I also like to give a "sup bro?" to suspected 2+2ers

I dont chat much while playing, but I do remember to say "wow" and such when someone gets quads or the flop comes AAA or such.

I ALWAYS rip into the people that are berating the fish.
