I have a Dell inspriron 8600. Do I need anything special to clean the screen? I have some cleaners and they say "do not use on nylon mesh or polarized anti-glare screens". Will they be OK?(I have no idea if I have a polarized or anti-glare screen). Just don't wanna f*** up something expensive.

Thanks guys

I use a product called "Endust for Electronics". Unless something is specifically made for use on computer screens, I would avoid it. Many products have chemicals that can eat through types of plastics. ABSOLUTELY do not use windex or any other product that has ammonia in it. A little water and a soft lint-free cloth will take care of dust.

Well, they're "screen cleaning wipes". They look safe enough, little wet & dry wipes in condom-like packaging. Is it possible that they're safe for CRT screens and not LCDs?

I have a couple smear marks on my screen. Spit, snot, soda, or spooge, not really sure.

I would probably avoid it. I found a similar product labeled for CRT screens.

Doing more research, make sure it does not contain alcohol, ammonia or vinegar.
