Had he not capped the flop, I would have bet/called the turn, then led the river if he didnt raise the turn. As soon as he was so willing to cap I was pretty sure I was beat, but should I have 3-bet there? And should I have called down like I did?

i think your probably beat by a larger pair, but i'm not folding an overpair heads up. do you have any reads on villian?

wow! well...um...without some read on him, i'd have to put him AA-TT, though i guess AK is a possibility. calling down seems good to me.

Looks ok to me, but if you had a read that your opponent was tight and only capped the usually cap-worthy hands, I wouldn't 3-bet the flop.

I would cap preflop.

I would cap preflop.

Is that because you're HU? Would you cap with another player or two?

As always it's depending on reads on the 3-bettor. But I usualy cap against 1-3 player.

I would fold the turn here. The only possible hand you have beat here is AKd which will still draw out on you a good amount of the time. With no reads, you can assume you are beat after his 3-bet PF and flop cap.

This is just silly. To fold the turn here, you have to have some read on the guy. The opposition could have AKd and still be playing the same way and even if you check/call down, it'll still be profitable.

Pre-flop, I cap this, just to show aggression and not to get out-played post-flop. The flop is still going to get capped whether you cap pre-flop or not, so why not spend 1 SB to try to use the aggression factor for you.

Anyways, I like the line on all streets besides pre-flop. You played it fine.
