LAG is steaming, and is really out to get me good. his AA got beat by my KK after i flopped a set and he is stuck pretty bad because of it.

LAG button open raises, i 3-bet in the small blind w/ 6 /images/graemlins/club.gif 6 /images/graemlins/spade.gif, big blind drops, LAG caps, i call.

flop: 7 /images/graemlins/heart.gif 2 /images/graemlins/spade.gif 5 /images/graemlins/spade.gif heads up - 9 small bets

i check, lag bets, i call.

turn: J /images/graemlins/heart.gif 5.5 big bets

i check, lag bets, i call.

river: 5 /images/graemlins/heart.gif 7.5 big bets

i check, lag bets, i call.

i think i played this like a donk, any comments?

Ordinarily I'd say to bet the river, but it sounds like this guy's liable to raise with A high, so check/call looks better.

But based on your read on the opponent, I wouldn't have folded 66 here, either.

if he was that laggy and steaming I may have raised on the turn and expected a 3-bet and called from there. Maybe it would be better to do it on the flop Meh, your line isn't that bad.

I'd either c/r or lead the flop.

i'm tryin to work on my blind steal situations, which is just one of the many areas my game is weak.

what are the benefits of check/raising the flop over just calling in this kind of situation?
