I used to absolutely love that show as a kid, watching the reruns on television. I'm 20 and it used to be my favorite show. Hell, if they would air it I would tape it on my tivo and watch every episode.

I was 10 in 1977...I had a huge crush on Marcia Strassman. The "Marian the Librarian" look still gives me fits to this day. /images/graemlins/blush.gif

Classic TV. My dad was a teacher and looked like Mr. Kotter. Made me believe my dad had a cool job. Gabe Kaplan is still one of my favourites. Goofy jokes but I love old shows of the 70's and 80's.

I'm only 18 but I used to watch this show on nick at nite about ten years ago. it would be great if they would put it on tv land.

I'm a fan of anything with Travolta -- that includes WBK.

And you currently have the best avatar at 2+2.

Does Nick at Nite still exist, or has it been entirely replaced by TV Land?

I used to watch it religiously s a kid...but anytime I've seen reruns over the last few years, it's amazingly dated. And not a good show.

Although I still do love the 4 sweathogs catchphrases:

Ohhh! Oh! Oh Oh! OHHHH!
Hi There.
What?

Huh. I don't remember Jaun Epstein's catchphrase anymore.
Oh well.

Never liked the show. Never found it funny.

A few years after it went off the air, I got to play poker with Gabe Kaplan.

Now I like the show even less.

Anybody else but me find it amusing that no one at the final table of the recent WPT event that Kaplan was in knew who he was or had heard of Welcome back Kotter.

Amusing? No, it just made me feel really, really old /images/graemlins/crazy.gif.

My girlfriend is a big fan, I think because she grew up on 86th St. and can relate a lot to that Brooklyn. It is the only "old" show I have set to Tivo, and save a max of 3 episodes, so she can watch them when ever there is nothing else on (and I am not in the room ) /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Uhh, I love the show too, cause my dad used to look just like Kotter.
P.s. Can anyone tell me why my signature does not come up on my posts? Thanks
