I travel alot on business and always try to drop into pokerrooms where i am. here is my opinion for the top rooms, taking everything from game selection, ambiance, menu, locale, etc into account:

1. Bycycle Club
2. Commerce
3. Taj Mahal
4. Mirage
5. Bellagio

I will point out however that i have never been to mississippi yet.

some of the worst rooms:
hollywood casino, Aurora illinois
casino rama, toronto

I would like to second the motion of the Mirage being above Bellagio. I mean, I love Bellagio as much as the next guy, but all of my best Vegas poker memories come from the Mirage. And many of those memories are of losing nights. It's just a great place to play.

I think you guys are missing a well run room in Lucky Chances, Colma, CA just south of San Fran. I also agree the Mirage is better than Bellagio, but think Commerce is more pleasant than the Bike......friendliest players and staff--and a loose 20/40 to boot.....Oceans 11 in Oceanside, CA

I've only been to two poker rooms in my young career: the Taj and the Trop. I like the Taj a lot, it's well run, you can get into a game easily. I really dislike the Trop, the lighting is bad, the dealers are bad and the floorpeople don't keep the games full like they should. Plus the games are softer at the Taj.

I'm not too worried about how a card room is run, since I only really care about finding good games.

1. Commerce
2. Commerce
3. Commerce
4. Commerce
5. Commerce

In Vegas, I like the Bellagio, but there are too many solid players there.

I agree that while i love Bellagio, i have a much better time at the Mirage and the games appear to be softer. I cannot wait to get back.

Having just spent a couple days in Vegas I'll throw my vote towards the Mirage as well, very much enjoyed playing there, soft games, friendly competant dealers and floor staff. Along those lines, I'd like to add Oceans 11 in Oceanside CA to the list; all of the above, plus the best food comps I've seen anywhere.

I like Hollwodd ark when in L.A. Don't no why just do. But now that Rick Nebiolo is a big whig at the Bike i try and play there more.

Why is Casino rama so terrible? I'm in toronto, and thats bout my only choice when I'm 19.

3 rake but 2 dollar jackpot drop, so 5 per hand + 1 tip is 6 dollars per hand.

Haven't been to Rama, but you also have the Blue Heron available. 10/20 and up is a time charge game ($5,$6,$7 / half-hour for 10/20, 15/30, 20/40 respectively). They have 8 tables.
