I'm currently suffering a 200 BB downswing at 3/6 (still up for the week surprisingly), I think it's time to take a couple weeks off and evaulate my game. If you guys don't mine I'll probably be posting a flurry of hands here the next couple of weeks.

Get used to them. 200BB downswings are not exceedingly rare beasts unfortunately. Reviewing your game is always good though.

Yeah, I attribute some of it to the fact that I play eight tables. I'll get some stats once I compile up all my hand histories, what do you think is a good book while I read on btreak, HEFAP + Middle Limit HE?

I'm currently a student at a very difficult university as well, so I guess the break will help me out in more ways than one.

SSH+HEFAP is more like it.

MLH is great as supplementary reading, but if you take a big part of your play from that book your win rate will plummet.

I would avoid making a flurry of posts in any small period of time.

I really don't think taking time off just because you've just experienced a downswing makes much sense unless it's got you all pissed off and tilty, which it shouldn't. Downswings happen, just keep playing well, that's really all that matters.

When I say flurry I mean 1-2 hands per day (I usually only post one hand per week).

Anyways, I handle 50-100 BB downswings pretty well, and I don't really go on tilt (playwise i'm find, but emotionally I get frustrated when I run into some bad beats, and when I mean some I don't mean 4-5 but like 15+ bad beats over the course of a session).

Anyways I have a lot of school work to get done so taking a break probably wouldn't hurt, I actually had a 80 BB upswing last night, so that really helps. How applicable is HEFAP to $3/6 Party ring?

how do you play 8 tables at once on party?

I have rakeback at a couple of skins, so I play 4 on Euro, then i'll download NOW while i'm playing and play 4 on there.
