I won a seat in a satellite to the PokerStars $200+15 $350k guaranteed. It's my understanding that I can take the tourney dollars and play on any tournament table (sit n go's, satellites etc.) My question is this:
Would you recommend taking those tourney dollars and entering multiple sit n go's and satellites to build up a real dollar account, or just take my chances in Sunday's $350k guaranteed? My initial thought is I probably stand a better chance parlaying the tourney dollars since my SnG record is typically much better than my MTT record. Thoughts?

I think this is more of a bankroll consideration...

If it would be over your Bankroll to buy-in direct, and you feel that you skill level for MTT is not up to par to cash high, I would use it else where.

If this amount would not put a big ding in your bankroll, than go for it.

Just treat it as a $215 win. If you're asking this question, then you probably should play SNGs, or smaller tourneys.

Thanks for the response....that makes good sense. I'm thinking I don't cash high enough often enough to make it worthwhile in the MTT, so I'll look to build my bankroll via SNG's. Then as I gain experience I'll give it a shot.
Thanks again.

I had a similar decision to make last week except it was for the $530T. I had just starting playing with the big boys in the deep end of the pool by qualifying for the $350k gua 2 weeks in a row. I played the first week and was the chip leader 3 hours into it. I ending up cashing the first week but not the second. $530T would give me a lot of play, so I cashed it out and played in some other tourneys. Ended up winning a $11R on Saturday and winning $4350. That allowed me to justify a $530 on Sunday and I think that I got $53/minute of play when my KK got busted by QQ. Long story short, it sounds like you'd be better off cashing it out and spreading it around.

Yeah, I think you're right. I think I'll cash out and play some SnG's to build a cash pot. Then I'll also play some more satellites and hope to cash again. At that point maybe I'll "go play with the big boys in the deep end of the pool." (Great quote)

Thanks.
