Live 20/40. 3 bad players limp, an tight-aggressive CO limps, folded to me in the BB and I check with AJo.

5 to the frop for 5.5 SBs. Frop is A49 all spades. I don't have a spade. I bet, folded to the CO who raises...

What's my plan?

Are you on the right board? The best we can do is take a guess, since people at 20/40 aren't playing like people at 1/2.

Call the raise, see the turn. Fold to any more aggression on the turn if you're UI.

I'd go for the old stop and go. As long as no spade drops on the turn.

If he's tight-aggressive I 3-bet the flop. He might have a single spade but you gotta get your money in with the probable best hand.

stop and go on a non-spade turn.

TAG player in LP would've raised AJ-AK.

but he could've limped a small pair which flopped a set and now he's getting $$ in while he figures he's ahead.

if he's Entity-esque, he could've also limped something like 89/images/graemlins/spade.gif, trying to force Hero to lay down a naked K or Q/images/graemlins/spade.gif...

he also could be trying to protect Ax non-/images/graemlins/spade.gif, where x < J.

Hero 3-bets and folds a cap.
if Villain calls, Hero bet/folds any turn card.

Everyone finds themselves HU postflop sometime. And this game didn't play much differently from a good Party 1/2 table.

Okay. Hey, I'm sure we learn even from these posts. Hope you give a critique of our (beginners that is) suggestions.

If it were Party .5/1, I'd 3-bet, call cap.

TAGs like to bet for value, or for hands that may be second best in order to get weaker hands to fold. I wouldn't give him credit for best yet.

If he capped flop, I check/call down, check/fold on spade.
If he called my 3-bet on flop, bet on non-spade turn, fold to raise.

If he continues to raise me, he must have something because you're not knocking him off his game.

So...

Live 20/40. 3 bad players limp, an tight-aggressive CO limps, folded to me in the BB and I check with AJo.

5 to the frop for 5.5 SBs. Frop is A49 all spades. I don't have a spade. I bet, folded to the CO who raises, I call.

Turn is a Q, not a spade. I check, CO bets, I checkraise, CO calls.

River is a 4, not a spade. I bet, CO calls, MHIG.
