Was against a 2+2'er and i got skerd /images/graemlins/frown.gif my question is when if it at all do i give him credit for QQ or is that just stupid to ever give credit for a hand like that here?

villian will cap the flop with alot of hands you have crushed, including AA and KK. i raise the turn and call a three bet. it would take a helluva read to get me to just call down.

Did he know you were a 2+2'er as well? I think you have to cap the turn here. And then if he leads out on the river then maybe you think about calling, but I'm still not sure that is correct. Especially with your 3bet preflop, you obviously didnt respect his raise all that much.

um yes i had trips.. ok so with flopped trips after its capped preflop.

my general rule of thumb should be with flopped trips with agression bet out the turn and if he raises call down?

I don't know about 3-betting PF. You don't want to isolate here - if you hit the set, you want action. If you just call PF, AQ or KQ might have come along for the ride.

Raise the turn. If he 3-bets, call down from there.

He's saying you had a set, not trips. Trips is when there's two of one rank on the board and you hold the 3rd in your hand.
