Hi Mr. Pink,

A check-fold would be bad as hero would have outs for a gutshot and set.

i agree with mr pink..

this flop likey hit at least one of the cold callers
and you have only a 3-out gutshot and 1 jack to improve

I agree as well. Hittin your J puts 4 to a str8 on board and Jc or 10c completes possible flush.

hey kailia,

maybe i didnt think this one through clear enough... how many outs would you give hero here? and what line would you take on this flop?

btw, i like your posts.

I think check/fold and bet/fold both have some merit here. Honestly, I'm undecided at the moment and hungry. My decision will have to wait until later /images/graemlins/smile.gif I think it's going to end up being a check/fold though.

I like the flop bet. The board is scarey for them too, so you'll pick up the pot right then a fair amount of the time (I'd even say close to 1 in 7 times required to make this profitable). Plus, you have outs to improve. Classic semi-bluff.

If raised, just make sure you have the odds to call, which won't take much. I'd estimate about 3.5-4.0 outs in total.

If called on the flop, you probably have to let this go on the turn unimproved.
