Help me upgrade my car sound system.

I have 1500 to spend on my car for a sound system, but don't really know what to get.

I'm looking for a single DIN reciever with aux inputs.
rear speakers 6x9. front speakers 6.5"
Subs are optional

I am more interested in quality than loudness.

i'd go with infinity kappas for the 6x9s, I got mine with the tweeters back in 2001, but you can get them 2-way also, depending on what you want to do. I also had the kappas for my 5.5" front speakers and the package still sounds incredible . The speakers have great sound quality, but if you really want your system bumpin' you should definately add at least one sub (I had 2 10's, but that was an upgrade i made later). In my opinion, the alpine cd players are best. I started off with a sony and it hardly reads cds anymore (what a piece of crap). If you really want good advice though go to a caraudio forum, i'm sure they know more than i do.
