Impressive? Meh? Waste of resources?

CNN has dubbed him a "modern-day Magellan"...I think that's going WAY too far.

I'm impressed. Then again, I'm a nerd.

It would be nice to have buckets of money to do things like set around-the-world-solo-without-refeuling-or-landing records.

I don't understand how this has been the top news story on cnn.com for the past 48 hours or so. Doesn't seem that news worthy to me.
