The PIT-NYY game is on ESPN so I get to watch and cheer in a meaningless game.
I don't care who's pitching and/or playing for NYY....there is no reason for any team to get that much odds for a pre-season game.

They just announced that Randy Johnson has been scratched from his start at the last minute. Not that his 2 or 3 innings in there would have been a big deal anyway.

Go Buccos!!!!


sidenote - I've been to Legeneds Field in Tampa probably 30x or so (as I have most of the Florida ball-parks) and it really is pretty terrific.

Did the line move after the Johnson annoucement?

I'm not sure when the announcement became official.

When ESPN announced it the game was already off the board at Pinnacle (I checked out of curiosity).


I think for a lot of these 1:05p starts Pinnacle just takes it off the board at 1:00p to make it simpler.
I've had this happen with some college-basketball games sometimes.

With higher profile games it stays on the board right up until the very opening-tip or first-pitch.

Still have MIN +121 tonight. That should be pretty darn cold and crappy (assuming the weather is similar in Ft Myers as it was 2 hours north in Tampa).
