Big argument between me and my brother, any commentary would be helpfull. Home game 5 people left, avg chip stack 4.5k~

player 1 utg 4600 chips

player 2 utg +1 4200 chips

player 3 button 5400 chips.

big blind 100, small blind 200.

player 1 (A,Ko) raises to 700 (tightest player on table by far), player 2 raises all-in 4200(K,Qo) (very LaG), Player 3 (very solid player, between player 1 and player 3 of best player on table easily) has 7,7. What does player 3 do? In reaction to player 3 of folding or calling what does player 1 do?

Any other information needed let me know and will post when I see it.

Thanks

Player 3 folds and player 1 probably then calls.

If player 3 thinks, like you do, that he's the best at the table, then he will likely not want to call all-in on at best a coin flip and at worst a dog. Given he's seem tightest player raise UTG and then a reraise all-in, he has to wait (IMO) for a better spot or at least until he can get his money in first.

Player 1, assuming he has same read as you, on player 2, will likely call the LAG's all-in given 3 has laid down.

Just imo stoneii

I agree with Stoneii's analysis, but you should really include the payout structure in your post. Also, how long until the blinds go up.?

Although there is other info needed, this is still as clear a fold as I have ever seen. What is player 3 hoping to be against with 77? Best case scenario the other 2 players are sharing overs. Fold and wait for a better spot.

Small tourney so stack weren't deep so blinds were going up pretty slow. Was another 30-45 min before blinds raised, Top three paid, 1rst 160, 2nd 80, 3rd 40. If player 3 goes over top all-in does player 1 call all-in getting roughly 3-1 and possibly sharing outs?

no, he mucks quickly. he's only put in 700 and has just seen two people push all in after his raise. let the other 2 bang heads - one of them will be busted or crippled after this hand.

but, the guy with 77 shouldnt be pushing here anyway. what does 77 possibly think the all-in player before him has??
Assuming 77 folds like he should, i think AK has a decision to make whether to call or fold and i lean towards call.

easy call for player 1, possibly even if both push with only this many people left, certainly if it goes push fold.

Player 3 folds very easily. Player 1 calls beats the LAG into the pot because he is a known LAG. Player 3 has to respect the tight players raise from UTG and even though the LAG pushed which could mean anything, player 3 has to know that at best he's a coinflip against 2-4 overs and could be a 4-1 dog to a big pair. Folding here is also +EV$ as at least 1 of the others is likely going broke here.

Player 3 should fold and assuming player 1 knows that 2 is LAG, he should have no problem calling.

If player 3 calls, player 1 should fold.

Well, I was player 1, player 3 was my brother and pushed, I made a reluctant call for a couple reasons. 1 I thought player 3 had a weaker ace, 2 if he doubled up when I folded he would be the only player at the table that gives me any comp and with 3.5 to 1 chip advantage would be very hard to take first which is the only place I cared about. So I called hoping to take him out and then would pretty easily cruise into first.

The reason I posted is when he called I said it was a terrible play and he swore up and down it wasn't "knowing" he was up against overs. Anyway thanks for all the replies and good luck.
