Nice low limit win

I just won $200 in the span of an hour on a $1-2 table at pokerroom.com. It was really weird, flopped the nuts like 10 hands in a row with everyone seeing the flop. Anybody else ever do that?

It's quite common with any new membership to an online poker room.

Thats what it was too, I had signed up a new account and everything. This kind of thing makes me leery of online gaming, although I'll take the money.

I had the exact same thing happen the day I signed up for pokerroom. Almost every flop hit me and my cards held up. Of course this run was short lived. I am thinking about signing up under a different name and get the "first day special" again.

I promptly cashed out and I am never going back. lol. but, how shady is that? first time players go on a huge winning streak?

That poker room is more like a casino type site than say true poker. Poker room offer black jack and other casino style games as well. You know they set the black jack and baccarat, so it would be just as easy for them to do in poker. The theory sound quite correct actually, hook them at first than hope they play some casino type games and lose it all back. Scary!

Now I am not making accusations nor am I saying anything about any other internet poker site but when I first started playing poker and knew literally nothing about holdem I won 600 dollars in a span of 2-3 hours at pokerroom.com and subsuquently lost many times that before I learned how to play and switched sites...just FYI
