I have been playing poker for a few years and just recently moved to internet poker. I am trying to understand how all these poker programs work but cant find a straight answer(what they do, which one is best...).
ANY help would be greatly appreciated

There is no best site for everyone. Pick out a few, sign up, play the play money tables just to get a feel of the site (not the players of course, cause play money play is nothing like real money play), and whichever you like best deposit at. Also check out www.bonuswhores.com (http://www.bonuswhores.com) They have all of the popular sites listed with their available bonuses, and a review of them.

thanks but i was more wondering about the programs that calculate odds and such things like that, especially the ones that track stats. I really need information on what programs are the best, and all the features they have.

I use poker-spy. It's easy to use.
One cool feature is the alerts on how your opponents are playing (for example, if they are playing too many hands or the wrong starting hands in the different positions). It also gives alerts on yourself so you can monitor your own play.

Check out the site www.poker-spy.com (http://www.poker-spy.com) - all the features are described there.
I bought it a few weeks ago and love it.

So poker-spy huh? Does anyone else agree? I keep hearing about these programs that keep track of other poker players stats in a database. ?????

The P.O.S. post above is nothing but spam. The database you are referring to is Poker Tracker. Do a search and you will find tons.

My post is certainly not spam. Someone asked for advice and I am giving you my recomendation. I tried Poker Tracker and Poker-Spy and I ended up sending my hard earned cash to Poker-Spy.

Is this site reserved for Poker Tracker fanatics?

Try out both and make your own decision. 'nuff said!

I'll call B.S. on this one. 4 posts all related to the same product.

Nice try, "PokerMimi". (if that is your real name...)

Well wouldn't you know it, I pick up the latest copy of Card Player Magazine and www.poker-spy.com (http://www.poker-spy.com) is recommended in the same sentence as Poker Tracker.

Check out Poker Tracker...it's what most people use here. They also have a forum at their site www.pokertracker.com (http://www.pokertracker.com) that may help you find all the answers you need

Click on your username in any of your posts. This brings up your profile. Scroll down. Click on "Show all user's posts." You have seven posts. All of them recommend your software. All of them. Most of them are cut and paste. Still feeling indignant?

Right. And that is why it is recommended in Card Player Magazine along side Poker Tracker.
