Tell me what you think my plan should be on the flop of this overpair hand. Is it worth it to risk this many chips so early?

Poker Room Grand Prix, $100+9. About 400 players, we are in the first level still (second orbit) and I'm up to about 1600 chips from a starting chip count of 1500.

MP3 and CO both have ~1500. Blinds start at 10/20.

I am dealt interracial KK UTG+1. I raise to 80, both MP3 and CO call, blinds fold. I don't have any reads on these guys yet, assume decent $100 tourney competition.

Flop is J,7,6, rainbow.

Pot is 270, I bet 200.

MP3 reraises me to 550, CO folds, action back to me.

I figure smoothcalling is out of the question since that will leave me with less than a 1000 chips in a large pot.

Push or fold?

Push. If he has J6, more power to him. Early like this, take that chance he's overplaying AJ and push em on out there.

Follow the cow, he always knows~

i make it 125 preflop, but i'm not layin down here....

you need a monster read to dodge 77 or 66 here.....

Push.

The only hand I'm worried about here is J/J, but I bet you'd see A/J very often.

I've found this to not necessarily be the case in this tournament.

This could be anything. Could be 77, 66, J10, QJ, KJ, AJ, A6. That said I would push. I would think a set would slowplay here, with the rainbow board. Your ahead here much more often than you are behind.

I myself would push. Hopefully he's not holding JJ.

So, what'd you do?

I pushed like the cow said. He called and showed me JJ. I did not win the tournament to say the least.

Just wanted to make sure a push was correct in this situation. I was expecting to see AJ or KJ, but oh well.
