PokerStars pot limit Omaha Hi tournament, final table. I am at position 7/8, blinds 300/600. I have T7820, and the last one has T2625. The 6. player has T9700.

I am on the button, seat 9. I get dealt AcAs4c4d, a quite strong hand. Seat 5, with T17940, raises the pot. I re-raise, and he raises me all-in.

How was my play? Should I have waited some time more for a hand where I would have been the initial raiser?

Waiting for your comments..

Just one thing more, the final table was paid, so I was on the money already.

Provided that you did reraise the pot to T7200, nothing to see here. Anything else would have been a huge mistake.

> Should I have waited some time more for a hand where I would have been the initial raiser?

Are you joking? You got the best possible situation for about the best possible PLO hand (the nuts, i.e. AAKK double suited, is only marginally better: 70.8% vs. 67.5% all-in equity vs. a random hand and even better against most raising hands when they contain a big pair or and ace)

You played it perfect. By reraising the pot you're almost all-in, giving the guy almost no implied odds. He should fold most hands, as you're practically shouting AAxx at him. The fact that he didn't means he has the other AA, maybe KK, some other truly premium hand that does well against AA, or he's foolish (or, the final possibility, that you've been caught reraising with a weak hand previously and he knows it).

Hope you won.

OK, thanks for the confirmation.

The raiser had Kc9s6c3s, and hit two pair. I was a 64% favourite in this hand, when I checked it afterwards.

Wow. He sure played like a dork. That's about as big an edge as you can reasonably hope for in Omaha.
