I'm currently living in Korea(U.S. resident), and therefore have a difficult time moving money around and setting up accounts. I only have a party account(through IGM), and no neteller or anything else. Anyway, I'm wondering if you guys think the current bonuses(both initial and reload/monthly) will continue about where they are, get bigger or decrease.

I could call my brother and have him handle the phone calls and other stuff for account set ups and everything, but am wondering if I should just wait about 6 months until I get home and save him the bother. I have a fulltime job out here, so it will be slow going, but i don't want to miss this free money. It seems like these bonsuses might be at a peak now, what are your thoughts?

P.S. I'm just a new lurker, but would really like to thank people like homer and microbob(among many others) for giving so much helpful advice on this site.
(p.p.s.) I'd include this in homer's newb post, but i think it'd get buried

Hey..nice to see someone else from Korea on the board. To answer your question I think the easiest thing to do is sign up for Neteller. I sent an initial bank wire to fund the account. Depending on your needs you may or may not want to get a debit card(which is what I do). When you go back home you can just request an address change.

On a side note I've been trying to set up a regular game to play in. I know a few guys but we could definitely use a few more(I'm assuming you're in the Seoul area). Shoot me an email at windboy226@yahoo.com if you have any other questions about anything or want to play.

I think the bonuses will continue. The online rake is outrageous considering the sites expenses. Their profit margin is such that they can afford to be liberal with bonuses.

One higher limit player can expect to pay $3 per hand times 30 hands = $90/10 or $9 per hour in a B&M casino. An online player can expect to pay $3 per hand times 60 hands times four tables = $720/10 or $72 per hour online. Factor in real estate costs in US vs other countries, US taxes, political kickbacks etc. and the online rake is considered unreal!

Thank you,

I strongly agree. When the online poker boom reaches its peak, the competition to attract online players is going to intensify, and bonuses are their best means of accomplishing this.

Set up a Neteller account. You can do it from Korea. I'm living in Hong Kong and set up mine a couple months ago. Just don't link your US bank account to it. What I do is deposit via IGMPay into Party, withdraw to Neteller, then deposit into various other sites. And I cashout in reverse.
