Hi All, I am seeking some advice. I am a decent player who has monied in some decent tournaments on line and in the real world. I am going to a charity tournament in a few days that has some really nice prizes and I want to money. The structure of the tournament is rebuys for the first three rounds and rapidly escalating blinds. The tournament starts with 5000 in tournament chips and 25/50 blinds and goes up pretty quickly. It will go from 7pm to 1am and start with 120 people.

What I want to know is are there any strategies that are particularly useful for these sorts of tournaments? I know there will be some decent players but also a lot of really terrible, really inexperienced players. What is the best way to make it to the final table?

Thanks!

What's the buy-in/rebuy $$$ amount as compared to the $ value of the prizes?
