villain shows Q 9 ...pair of 9's...he hit 9 on turn

I do this with trips and weak kicker like 7's. Am I losing EV here by not being more aggressive ? I'm afraid most time that I'm beat by better kicker but I find that most often ..the other player doesn't have an 8 for 3 of a kind but just a pair.

Multi-post hands are not my favorite.

For hand 1: what's your rationale for your small bets? Specifically, why bet the flop at all?

[edit] nm, misread the action (multi-tabling while posting). I don't like the river bet however. I think with a board like this, too often you are behind to anything that will call you and you aren't folding anything.
