Mini-Raising vs. All-in As Big Stack

When your the big stack around the bubble, do you guys usually prefer moving all-in or mini-raising or something inbetween? I like mini-raising, and I'm not really sure why. I think because people are more likely to call and fold a missed flop with a hand that beats me.

I'm just a mini-raising fool when I'm the big stack.
