I am just going to copy what I wrote there. Maybe someone here who's adroit at helping idiot comp users out can lend some advice. thanks if you can....

I run windowsXP and I have an account where I installed pokertracker. It is running fine there and I'm building up my database, etc.

The problem occurs when my brother logs onto his XP account (on the same comp). When he tries to open the software, he receives the following error message:

ODBC Microsoft Access Driver Login Failed and then it goes on to say something like Microsoft Jet database cannot open ... the file is being used exclusively by another user or you do not have permission.

Both of our XP accounts are in administrator mode. It works for me but not his account. Of course I make sure that I'm not using pokertracker when he tries to open it.

Try using the runas option in XP.
