Logged into Party this morning and lo and behold! There are six 30-60 games going! Party finally opened this up.

Have to admit that I am a bit threatened by this. I have been crushing the 15-30 game since first wandering into Party a year and a half ago. Will my fish now swim upstream and get eaten alive? Will I be forced to follow them and play in what is probably a tougher game? From my perspective, I see more downside than upside.

If you follow the fish up to 30-60 why would it be a tougher game?

Interesting to see the changes (NL as well as limit) at Party. FWIW, I also play at Pacific and they went through a number of changes a couple of months ago. When they added $30/$60 and the NL games, the $5/$10 games that I was beating (for more than I deserved) dwindled to half what they were.

The good news is that now after many of the $5/$10 players moved to the higher limits and NL, the $5/$10 games are coming back to what they had been. Are these new player? Are they old players that tried the other games and moved back? I don't know, but I'm happy the $5/$10 games are continuing to improve. (I mean, they suck - don't come to Pacific)

I fear it will be a tougher game because the ratio of pros to fish will be higher. Can anyone who has experience playing the 30-60 at Party comment as to whether this game has been significantly tougher than the 15-30? I have not played 30-60.

What kind of fish would wander into a 30/60 game? /images/graemlins/confused.gif

This has been my experience as well, although I haven't played the Stars $30 or anything higher.

Just as a followup to my original post, I see that thus far Party has not opened the 30-60 game completely. They have simply doubled the number of tables from three to six. Given the large number of 15-30 regular and jackpot games, I don't think that this small expansion of high limits by Party will have a meaningful effect on my 15-30 results.

Whew!

I have to agree with stox here. While it's still quite beatable, it's nowhere NEAR the berry patch the 15/30 is.

Now, if there's a spawning to the 30/60, it might make sense to move up. If there are 3-5 soft spots in every game all of a sudden, then the jump will definitely make sense if you've been killing the 15/30.

P.S. Nobody noticed the 600 and 1000 PL and NL tables??!
