Poker, which is to say that for the most part I do absolutely nothing. Prior to playing I was an auditor for a big four accounting firm.

Georgia Tech - very much enjoy
Poker - enjoy
GT Tennis Center (desk jockey and racquet stringer) - eh, it's not bad, but the computer there is too old and slow to play poker on, and I don't have a laptop yet. It's an incredibly slack job that usually consists of me sitting on the leather couches, watching the big screen tv, and checking the messages every hour or so to see who wants to book a court.

Yeah, it's hella sweet being the only indoor courts inside the perimeter. Plus, I don't do a damn thing. I was probably one of the people not doing a damn thing when you played there a couple years ago.

Funny you should mention that as I just got off the phone with my assh[/b]ole friend and apparently the bahamas are a no go for spring break. Miami seems to be the backup plan, and that's much cheaper.

I work in a residential treatment center for youth in New York State. Mostly kids placed by courts or with PINS orders against them (Person in need of supervision, can be filed by parents if they can't control the child.)

Yes, it's important work and I'm pretty good at it. But management/administrators often make the job much harder and I am currently grossly underpaid / overworked. If I don't get the raise and schedule change I am asking for I will probably look for a job at another similar agency, or go back to school.

I have my own comapny contracting to users of Oracle ERP system, have to be away form home all the time on client sites but in the main quite enjoy it and more importantly the financial security that comes with it.

POker is more a leisure thing for me, probably why I lack focus and jump from game to game and dont really want the grind of 4 tabling etc.

Also FSUplayer whats the story with your new avatar? I have a 3 series convertible, are you getting/just got one? I am due to change and thinking either an M3 or a Porsche 911 for next car, the M3 ahead as I can get a newer one than the porshe on my budget.

Just today I was driving into the city, and my impression of the cty is this:

A bunch of drones are moping about grinding out there meager careers until they grow old and die. And I'm glad other people do it because some one's gotta do it.

I used to think if I wanted to make any kind of serious money I'd have to resign and become a drone, but then I got to thinking, I can make just as much money as an entry level drone sitting on my ass playing poker.

Born to be Wild was on the radio so I was inspired to literally give all the skyscrapers the finger, it felt pretty good in a f**k the man kind of way.

Sadly, I majored in finance, 3.5 from Fordham, and I could not for the life of me tell you what a derivative is.

Now, if you need the history of the ECW promotion, hardcore, or the long storied rivalry of the Nations top shock jocks from Steve Dahl to Stern, I could write an essay.

A derivative is an asset which derives its value from an underlying asset. E.g. a future or option.

E.g. If we agreed that I will buy $200 from you in Dec. 2006 for £110. This is a derivative. It does not matter what the actual exchange rate is at that time. It can be useful for hedging risk for an export heavy company.

An option is similar. An example of an option is: I pay you £5 now and in Dec. 2006 I have the option of buying $200 for £110. So on said date, I can choose whether to proceed with the transaction, but you can't.
