decent read.. found this amusing:

"It’s also one of the reasons he’s so annoyed with Annie Duke, one of the best women players, who, by pushing for more money for the players, scuttled a deal he’d helped set up with Fox SportsNet that would have seen him play in a series called Superstars of Poker. “I can’t stand that woman,” he seethes. “Egotistical and overrated, in a nutshell.”"

Terrific article. If you're interested in Negreanu or the discipline it takes to become a great poker player.

The "Bellagio" looks suspiciously like the Horseshoe.

Let's see how many mistakes we can find in the article, in addition to the ones already spotted:

MGM is about to open a poker room, not Mirage

The WPT started broadcasting two years ago, not three

And they say journalism is dead! /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Seems like lifestyle magazines in Canada are far behind U.S. standards. They dumbed down the game of hold'em so much and made so many mistakes. I'm surprised Daniel wasn't forwarded a copy before it was printed.

Nice guy from what is written and published about him lately, but god, many of these articles make him sound like the second coming of Mother theresa or a Nobel prize candidate.

He's a poker player....he gambles for a living.

Yes he's freely donating his money to many other railbirds or degenerate gamblers adn beggars, cuz right now he's in the money bigtime.

But come next year or two, he may become one of those railbirds or broke poker players who"don't have a pot to piss in" as he says.

Prblem is, after all this media and celebrity attention he's getting, it'll be hard to ever go back to 10/20 or 20/40 once the BR busts.

I'm just jealous

"At the urging of his fiancée, he’s become a practising Christian (though with a more tolerant, Canadian bent)..."

It's good to see Canadians (the writer, not NG) are at least as arrogant and ignorant as us redneck Americans. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I don't think he's doing himself any favors by constantly talking about his dislike for Annie Duke. I thought they cleared that up. Guess not.

I'm not tryin to be a jerk but Daniel N sure seems like a helluva guy. If he can't stand her that much he probably has his reasons. Maybe they just don't mesh.

Maybe she really is egotistical and overrated. There are other pros who think the same but aren't going to say it.
