Quick question for Party, do I have to use the WOWREAL code to get my initial deposit bonus, or will it show up anyways? I signed up for a rakeback deal - using the WOWREAL code won't screw that up, will it?

Edit: after confirming my email, I was given a new code, Extra30 for a 30% up to $150 - same question applies.

The rakeback/affiliate deal will not get messed up if you use a different reload code when you deposit. but note that you wont get both bonuses.

Ok, just making sure I get this straight. I can do my initial deposit with EXTRA30 (it would be dumb to use WOWREAL obviously) and my affiliate deal is still going to work?

I am just making sure I interpreted your post correctly. By saying "you won't get both bonuses" you were referring to getting both WOREAL and EXTRA30, which yes, I already assumed that.

Edit: In case it wasn't clear, this is not for a reload bonus, this will be my first deposit at Party.

You should be checking with your affiliate for this question.

Re-load bonuses don't affect affiliate stuff (other than negate the rake-back you may get up to and including the bonus amount) but an "initial" sign up bonus may be affected.

As I said you should probably check with the affiliate that you signed up with, before depositing, just to be safe.

Party has been doing something very underhanded. They send new signups the extra 30 code to use for your initial sign up. This code negates your affiliate deal.

Nice. They want affiliates to recruit then cut them off at sign up.

Do not use the extra 30 code if you want to keep your affiliate deal.

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY, CATEGORICALLY FALSE. Not quite sure what your motives were in posting this - i hope just oversight - but that is completely untrue. Your affiliate deal will in no way get messed up if you use the Extra30 code they send you. It's just a deposit code, not an affiliate code. You'll be fine if you use it; it won't negate your affiliate deal in any way.

Affiliate codes and deposit codes are two completely different things. You enter an affiliate code in the account setup window. You enter a deposit code (aka Extra30) in the cashier's window -- it has ZERO chance of negating an affiliate setup.

hmmm ok two different opinions now... should I start a poll? /images/graemlins/grin.gif

or can I at least get a confirmation of either of these two? (not that I don't trust either one of your judgements, I would just like to be sure)

I explicitly emailed party awhile ago w/ that question and they assured me the affiliate arrangement would not get messed up even if my player used the EXTRA30 code that was sent to her.

As I stated earlier, this is correct. Tuco is straight up wrong.

Thanks for the links - don't worry; we're all mistaken every once in a while. Down in the thread on the page you linked here, an (alleged) IGM rep responds thus:

These bonus offers are employed to increase the player conversions. This one-time bonus is only on the first deposit and cannot be clubbed along with any other sign-up / deposit bonus offer. Since this is a unique bonus, it will have a different bonus code which the players have to enter while depositing. This doesn't affect the tracking in any way. The player is still tracked to the affiliate.

In an event if you have experienced anything different from the above, please let me know and I will have it investigated.

Thanks,
Satya
