View Full Version : Whats your cologne/aftershave?

IndieMatty

So I ran out of my Nivea aftershave balm, and had to dig deep for something to put on my face this morning. LO and behold I found an old bottle of Polo Sport my moms bought me about 5 years ago. Now? I smell like Joey from Long Island, who's picking up Wendy in his IROQ 370Z. Matty no Like.

So what is your normal aftershave/balm or cologne?

AS/Balm - Nivea for Men (sport)

Cologne - Banana Republic M

Too much white text not to notice. No, I am not better than you, and I refuse your challenge. In general though, cologne/aftershave smells like [censored].

On the rare occasions i wear any it's Bvlgari.

Don't wear any. I had been wearing Old Spice deodorant since I was 12, then my gf complained she didn't like it (one day out of the blue after like 1.5 years together) so she picked "Brut" and that's what I wear. I could care less.

CK1, Escape, Cool Water, Drakkar, Eternity, Chrome

I don't get out to check out anything new really, so I just stick with tried and true.

All I know is that every girl I've ever met says its the best smell ever... i refused to buy myself a bottle to conform. Then for Christmas this year my mother bought me a bottle of it.... I feel helpless & bound by a society that represses individualism and nonconformity....

I usually wear Dunhill Desire. Or Hei by Alfred Sung.

I also like Michael Kors.

what exactly is up with aftershave? what is it even? something you put on after shaving i imagine, but i have never done it. what's the purpose?

Freakin
02-28-2005, 06:06 PM
Typically some kind of substance that closes your pores, cools down your skin, and aids in stopping small cuts. Many of them are alochol based, but those aren't too good for your skin. They're basically a cologne for your face.

For work I use 212 For Men.

At night I switch between Versace and Armani.

My wife selected each of these for me. I do what she tells me.

I use the Aftershave balm from L'Occitane. The best thing about this cream is that I just use a tiny amount, rub it on my hands a little and rub on my face, and I'm good to go. A standard tube will last like a year, maybe more, I shave 2-3 times a week.

As for cologne, I don't use it much, but Aqua di Parma.

Daryn, I am with you on this topic. I shave before I shower. Between the soap, water and a post shower moisturizer I am set.
