View Full Version : Raise this preflop and check the river?

I'm fairly new to the table and have no good reads outside the fact that the table is a little on the tight side. I think I should have raised preflop. The real question is if this is a classic no need to bet the river 'cause I'm either getting raised or called by a better hand?

Hard to answer that question w/o a read, I think. I raise it pre-flop, but from there I play it the same.

Easy preflop raise.

Other than that, I like it. Only hand I'd worry about is JT. Probably more like KJ or QJ. Some guys will go apeshit with top pair marginal kicker.

Yeah, I raise preflop. But in terms of EV, I don't think it is that big a mistake.
