a friend of mine won a seat into the PPT in a local qualifier at TS and invited me to fly out with him. i just found out about it tonight and am leaving tuesday morning. i will arrive tuesday night and leave friday.

will any of you be at bay101 during this time? what good resturants are there in the area? how is the 15 and 20 limit games? how are the no limit games?

im only 20, but ive been to the taj, borgata and foxwoods numerous times and never been carded. how likely is it that ill be carded at the bay? i look rather old for my age mind you.

It's quite likely that you will be carded at Bay 101. It's also quite likely that they will not take too kindly to you getting caught. The casino is under quite a bit of pressure from the city, who is constantly trying to shut them down. During their most visible week of the year, they'll be tough on people, especially ones they don't recognize.

FWIW, I've been going to the casino of 5 years, and I play several days a week. I once was playing the biggest game in the house (80-160) and I went to take a leak, at which time I was carded on my way back to the table. I'm 26 years old.

As for your other questions, I'll likely be there some nights, playing 80-160 and spread limit if it's going, but I don't know which nights in particular. There is no 15 game, but the 20-40 is stupendous. The lists will be very long, so you should plan on waiting. They can only have 40 tables by law in San Jose, one of many laws that are tough these days. Another law caps the betting at 200 bucks, so there is no NL games, nor games bigger than 80-160.

The restaurant situation is plenty good. You're in the SF bay area - some of the best food around. Ask El D for some recommendations - he seems to like making them.

On my two trips to Bay 101 I was carded the moment I entered. There is a deskman/rentacop facing the entrance and I THINK there's a side entrance for workers, but otherwise you'd probably have to walk in with a group. Even so, I've also been carded once inside the Bay...so I'm not sure there's a way around this. I'm 24 and look my age.

yah, thanks for the tip on this. because of your 2 posts i decided not to go to bay101. the cost of my plane ticket jumped from an expected 400 to 550, and since i havent been running well this past month i declined. i thought the risk of being carded and having to stay at the hotel for the entire week was not worth the trip. :[
