Still relatively early in the tournament, and no solid reads on any of the players at the table yet. I have 2,925 chips from a starting stack of 2,500. Blinds are 25/50.

Folds to MP, the chip leader at the table with about 3,800 who min-raises to 100. I call in the cutoff with black 66. Folds to BB who calls the extra 50. Pot is now 325, 3 of us to the flop.

Flop is Ad9c6d.

BB checks, MP checks. I bet out 200. BB folds. MP calls.
Pot is now 725, 2 players left.

Turn is Ts. MP bets out 400.

Now I am confused about his hand. What are the possible hands that MP could have. AA, AK, AQ, AT, A9, A6, TT, T9, 99, 87, or a complete bluff.

I rule out AK, AQ, A9 and A6 because of the draw on board after the flop, figuring he would bet or raise to protect his hand. I rule out the complete bluff, as he seems to be pretty tight to this point.

If he has AA, TT, or 99, good for him, and he will probably get most or all of my chips.

I think that he either has 87, or AT. Therefore I decide to just call his turn bet, and see what happens on the river. 1525 in the pot, 2 players to the river.

River is 9s.

I figure that this is the second best card for me, besides the case 6.

MP bets out 1,200. I raise all-in for 1,025 more. MP calls.

Results to follow, please offer any critique of my play you feel necessary.

I would have played it exactly the same way.
Of course his raising with 87 in MP would be a little odd.
But don't see any other hands he'd play that way postflop.
But maybe he isn't good and played AK badly also.

I like the way you played this hand actually.

Did he turn over Quad 9's?
