i'm at a table with a real big stack 20kish who is playing pretty damn loose, blinds are 200/400 av. stack is around 6k. fold to the big stack who calls (has been playing real loose), folded to me in the sb with KQo and 3600 behind after paying the 200.
Obvious push? Just call?

The big stack is likely to call with any ace, and your behind there, so I say no.

so i just complete with kqo vs a slightly better then random hand? feels weak.

KQ isn't that good of a hand, you are weak.

yeah, but i figure to be good vs this guy he was super loose. he called with ATo and i'm out, but i feel like that's a terrible call, i dunno, guess you're right.

edit: but i don't like it.

Has he been raising every time it has been folded to him?
If so the call might look a little suspicious.

Otherwise I push here expecting to be ahead, at the worst overcards to a pair.

he's been open limping a lot. As the earlier poster said (and in reality happened) he could just call with an ace. I didn't think ace ten would call a 10x the BB bet, but i was wrong, what do you think of the play, given only the knowledge i have. That is the couple orbits i've been here he's played a lot of hands, open limping more then open raising.

Well, really loose calls are one of the joys of being the big stack, and calling with any A is among them.

I still like your push.

He hasn't shown any strength and most ot the time you are adding 2.5BB's to your stack without a fight, and a lot of the time when he calls you are ahead.

So, let's see. Reasonable range of hands is any ace, any pair, KQ-KTs, KQ-KJ?

So, your equity is about .4188 if called, and you're called about 23% of the time.

((chance of winning) * (stack size if won) + (chance of losing) * (stack size if lost)) * (chance of being called) + (chance of stealing blinds) + (stack size when blinds are stolen)

So .23 (.42 * 7600 + .58 * 0) + .77 * 4200 = 3968.16 in total chips if you push after the flop, which means you're gaining about 350 chips every time you push compared to fold.

So yeah, push.
