scalf,

I would rather put that cash on the Don't Pass line /forums/images/icons/wink.gif .
SCLN was at 20 back in 2000. Currently, it appears they are not generating enough cash through sales. I couldn't find a free report from any analyst on this stock, but if you are really interested there are many to buy.

Good Luck

Mark

let's say you're playing the back line for 1k...shooter comes out with a 4...you are a 2-1 fav...do you lay 10k to win 5k odds...does this increase or decrease your long term ev??? gl go scln... /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif

scalf,

The odd's bet is a totally seperate bet, so EV is not an issue. But, here's a simple system to use with odd's bets and you may overcome the vig on the don't pass bet.

First, the Casino has to offer 10x odds at a minumum.
Next, every time the shooter establishes a point take 5x odds. If the shooter does not make the point note what the point was in your notebook, and the next time a shooter establishes the same point make a 10x odds bet. Do this for each point. The system that works for me where I have been able to eek out a little profit is to take this same system up to four levels, so your biggest bet is 40x odds.

The nice thing about this system is that in the long run you still loose the same, but in the short run, sinces odds are an even money bet, you can make some money.

Good Luck

scln is a small company with only 100 mil capitalization. but just two of its top dogs get over a mil. between them. too much for a company that loses money every year. it has some cash on hand for awhile so it may not be too risky but it seems its new drug makes or breaks the company. and if you read what it says about it, it has the word theoretical in it, that scary.
check its insider trading and you will find alot of insiders have bought the stock. so that looks good till you see that they bought only tiny amounts. that seems to me to be a front to make it look like they support the stock, but in reality they wont put much real cash in it. scary as well. i would rather take the chance and go short for the near term as its unlikely for any major breaking good news quickly.

Ray,

It does not matter what betting strategy that you use with odds bets. Because statistics prove that you will break even in the long run no matter what system you use. But, you could use a system that will break your bankroll. Futhermore, fruitcakes are good food, and good food is not your forte. Someday, you will come to Chicago and I can introduce you to the best food in the USA.

Good Luck

Mark
