It's ugly, but I think you gotta muck.

I think I might push on this flop to punish drawing hands.

The pot on this flop is big enough for top pair to take down right away.

In your situation, I cry as I hit the fold button while a piece of my heart dies.

You lost with AA. It happens. Since they called your flop bet you know they are drawing. Now don't make it worse and give them your whole stack.

Well, lets see, you can push or fold.

Option 1-Push.

If you are going to call, you might as well push. There is t1085 in the pot after the villian bet. Since you only have t490 left you should push. He will probably call since he too is pot commited. If you win, you should be able to cruise to the money.

Option 2.-Fold

He limped in and then called your raise preflop, He checked the flop and then incorrectly called your bet (if he was on a flush draw). Then he bet out on the turn after the 3rd /images/graemlins/spade.gif hit the board. It sure looks like he hit the flush, which means you are way behind. If you fold, you still have t490 and the blinds are still very low.

IMHO, I fold.

Should've bet alot more w/ 2 suit on the flop, I probably woulda pushed on the flop. Once the third spade comes its an automatic fold.

Why? Because there are 3 spades? Yes, you'll run into your share of flushes. But no way is it AUTOMATIC to fold. If you are going to fold every time there is a scary board, you are going to lose a lot of pots you could win. And you are going to become a very easy bluff target.

Why is everybody so certain that the villian has a flush?
How about about AsJd or KsJc or even something a bit worse like pocket 10s. If your opponent has suited cards, lets say 1/2 the time because he called a big preflop raise. The chance there are the same as the 2 suits on the flop is < 25%.

Given your pot size raise on the flop it is pretty safe that your opponent is not putting you on a a flush draw. Why shouldn't the villiam make a semibluff bet that says I got my flush when the scare card comes.

If this was a multiway pot at the flop, sure I'd fold but against a single opponent.... call or push.
