i dont keep hardcore pokertracker stats especially for tournaments, i know that I am +ev at the 100+9, my passive bankroll is enough that it wont be a problem, i just want to know whats a good active BR to multi the 100+9's.

I would say 50, assuming you could replenish in the worst case scenario. I usually keep 10-15 buy ins in Party, I know this isn't quite sufficient to survive a true bad swing, but I have more $ in my bank account which I denote as "SNG money". If I lose 10-15 buy ins I take a break and re evaluate my play, by then if I'm not making mistakes the tilt will bring them in.

I personally think 100 is a true safety net and is what I would keep in an account if you really do not want to run out of $$, ever.

thank you for your input, but does anyone else think that 100 buyins is excessive?

If you rely on SNGs for your income I do not consider it excessive.

I'd personally want at least 10k, but you can obviously get by with less....it just might cause some major headaches and emotional trauma.

It's excessive if you have a full time job/career/etc but otherwise, I stand by 100.

For what it's worth, I've played about 1100 109's, all multitabling. My worst downswing has been in the 1800-2000 range. I would feel pretty comfortable with a 4000 bankroll,

BUT...

You have to be a solid player. What do you base your sense of being +EV at this level, if not "hard numbers"? The worse a player you are, even +EV, the greater the variance and therefore the greater the roll you will need. Everyone thinks they are better than the hard numbers so keep stats and make sure you're not deluding yourself. Unless you can hit an ITM/ROI in the 38/15 range for the 55 games I wouldn't consider making the jump without a bigger roll.

i think im way above that im gonna start tracking to get a solid number but i think im easily 38% ITM

You need to record your results. It's possible that you could make more $/hr at a lower buy-in.
