Double suited

Hello all, this is my 1st post . I vistited HardRock Tampa and had to post about the insanity in that room. Played total of 24 hrs last week in both there straight 2 dollar and 1,2 dollar format. I have been playing BM in AC and Foxwoods for about a year at 3-6 and 4-8 limits and have had very good results by playing SSHE (Low Limit Bible)T/A. Anyway played in Tampa at this carnival room and could not get anywhere (down about 50BB) for the trip. 8 to the flop 5 to the river. The big cards did not stand up to the draws. My suited conectors hit the flop few and far between. 5 2 offsuit beat my aces on a wheel straight on river and so on it went. I won a few pots with TPTK but not a lot. People were playing all hands. I thought this to be a good thing, but at this level and format I found it could not be won on this outing. I am wondering what were my mistakes that I made during this trip. I played my small pairs(limping) for the flop (if missed on the flop I would fold to a raise). Raising with my big pairs playing my suited conectors but didnt get hit on the flop that much. I played mostly for fun at this level, as I know its very hard to make any money here. I thought about playing insane like the other 9 players at the table(sat in on many different tables) but didnt want to pick up any bad habits. Any advice on the mistakes I made would be appreciated as I am always trying to learn from past mistakes. Thankyou all.

No. Its EASY to make money here. Realize that you arent going to win as many pots, but when you do, they are going to be MONSTERS. In a game like this, ive seen a 220 dollar 4/8 pot, and i was three betting the whole way. its sick. i lost the hand, but it was only three to the river and a guy hit a four outer to catch his boat. oh well.... would have been SWEEET. If you cant make money in a game this loose and passive....you should probably stop playing.

only play in florida poker rooms for entertainment. yes, you can make money.. but its much more worthwhile to just go to an airport in florida with a flight out to vegas, than it is to a poker room at a dog track or some indian reservation land... in these games in order to profit you need to play the exact opposite of your opponents, which may be hard to do. its a beatable game, but its not worthwhile in the least bit
