Hey guys I'm tentatively considering ordering some clay chips with edge spots from pokerchips.com. Not custom jobs but just chips with spots. I'm a traditionalist so I'm going white, red, green and black. I was just wondering if anyone had suggestions for edge spot colors or pics of their sets. SO far I'm thinking white w/blue edge spots and red with gray but I'm stuck for the green and blacks. The black I figure just about any color esp dayglo will look cool but I'm not sure about the greens. Any tips or pics would be appreciated.
Take care
Matt
PS if there are any other sites that have real clay chips with spots of comparable quality at around the same or lower price (.50 cents/chips) let me know

I would go with a blue chip instead of a white, wont show dirt as much.
As far as the green chip, I like green with black, black with red.

Thanks for the info guys. I like the green/black as well. I was also considering the blue for the same purpose but I'm such traditional type guy that I just don;t know if I can rip myself from the four colors I see in the casinos. Thanks again guys.

Dark green with maroon edgespots is pretty cool if you're going for a subdued color scheme
blue and white are interchangeable across casinos for $1
edit: oh yeah, if you're still stuck for the black, an off-white (not bright white) edgespot looks really classic although I haven't seen any old chips like that

Sorry for the extra large photo. These have been a favorite of mine.
Your mileage may vary as these have been oiled recently

Why are so many people so down on white chips and the dirt factor? Personally, my dirty little secret is that I quite enjoy filthy, worn-out white chips. It's that extra atmosphere that comes from evidence of hard use.

Hey Johnny5,
I know if may be a pain, but do you happen to have a legend available to shows what specific PS colors and edge spots are in your mock-ups??

Sorry, I don't. I created them over a year ago, and never really needed a legend. The colors aren't totally exact, but close enough.
Have a look at the color chart on pokerchips.com (http://www.pokerchips.com/colors.html) , and you should be able to figure out which color is which.

OK. Let me change my question: Where else can you find these... homepokerchips.com is pretty pricey.

So is holdempokerchips.com /images/graemlins/wink.gif ... it's all what the market will bear I guess. Looks like he only has a limited amount so that probably ups the premium. I haven't seen these anywhere else.

Those have been out of print for a year now. They also happen to be my personal set too.
To put these chips in perspective I will buy them at these levels...
.25c, .50c, $1 at $1.00 ea
$5, $25 at $1.10 ea
$100, $500 at $1.30 ea
Just thought I'd toss that out in case there are some lying around

EDIT: I am speaking of the NJ Clay's by ASM to avoid any confusion
EDIT#2: I am also in need of the .50c chip with edge spots at $1.30 ea
