Hi,
I have been playing the NL25 6 maxers at Party for a while now, but I have only recently made the effort to put all my hands into poker tracker. After just under 10,000 hands, my $/hour rate is about $28.50 or so. Is this good? Average/Above/Below?
Cheers

>0 = good. No one really knows what "average" is, but it looks you are doing quite well.

If you were doing .01 PTBB/100 wouldn't you be able to use your time better by sleeping?

Very good. If your bankroll can handle it (~20 buyins) you should consider moving up to 50NL, but obviously only if you want to.

What is your PTBB (The Big Bets units used by Pockertracker) /100?

That should be easier to compare.

Very good. I'm not even close, but my standard deviation per 100 hands is only 23.7 BB.

Thank you.
What does the standard deviation reflect? How do I find mine out?

Higher winrates generally correlate with higher variance. Spirit Rock's standard deviation per 100 hands is about 3 times as high as mine, so I am probably leaving a lot on the table by making incorrect laydowns and not playing looser. You can find the number in pokertracker by going to Session Notes and clicking More Information.

Just loaded in another 1500 hands approx and my $/hour has dropped from over $28 to $26 and my BB/100 hands has dropped from 11.62 to 11.04. At what point do the numbers change at a slower pace does anyone know?
Cheers

The higher the sample size, the slower the pace of the change.
Be aware that 10,000 is a small sample size and your "true" winrate can differ from your current value by a significant margin.
I remember my PTBB-rate at NL25 was 13 after 10K hands, while it is at 10 now (50K hands).
