From GrannyMae:

Hey Mason: Your column is worse than mine ever was. All those loyal Two Plus Two posters who said my column stunk should be ashamed of themselves. How do you like them apples?

Answer: Granny, you have a lot of nerve. But there's a simple way to solve this once and for all. Perhaps one of our posters will put up a poll to find out for sure which column truly deserves the trash can.

i think you should have prompted him to create a poll with "neither are funny" as an option. however, you have jumped to an early lead so you better get cracking if this trend holds. deadline is just around the corner!

i did vote for my favorite article but placed no vote for least favorite (i don't think that is a productive poll, but i love the most favorite one)

as far as the poll of them choosing between our columns, i voted for myself because i feel i will need the point to save face. vote was not based on which is actually funnier because you chose to do half the questions as jokes and the other half as real advice
(right? those were not all jokes, were they?)

GrannyMae:

To many 2+2'ers (expecially the young ones) Mason is thought of as a the school principal, where as you are thought of as the class clown. When the class clown submits a funny colum it's expected... when the principal submits a funny column it is unexpected, and therefore wins the popularity contest.

The only true sollution is to create a joint column. Now now Granny... I know what you are thinking... not a column for High Times. A Q&A column co-written by GrannyMae & Mason Malmoth.

Just remember, I get a 5% royalty for proposing the concept /images/graemlins/grin.gif

The horse racing question was classic, but it would've been more so had you not mentioned that it was an inside joke. Well done.

A Q&A column co-written by GrannyMae & Mason Malmoth.

egads.

that's frightening and i can say it is a mortal lock that there will never be a collaborative work published with mason malmuth and GrannyMae as co-authors.

there are standards that need to be maintained with an author of this caliber.
(i will leave it to you to decide which author and who's standards i am referring to being compromised on such a joint effort)

i'll let the principal handle the Q&A column for now on and see if i can get a trip report accepted for next month. if not, i'll post it gratis (which saves ME $1.93)

Your Q$A was very funny. Good job. I love how the guy who was knocked out on his first hand in the WSOP, with AKs to 83o, theoretically won a ton of money in the long run. Hysterical. I wonder if your horse guy is TJ.
