As I was getting up the other night after playing for 6 hours, the guy taking my spot gave me $100 to buy one of my racks of chips. I was a bit tired and obliged. Is this appropriate or should you always cash out your own chips?

I don't see any problem with it.

Nothing wrong with that since you're leaving the table. Did you check his C-note to make sure it was real?

Foxwoods allows it whether you're leaving the table or not - you just gotta keep the cash on the table...

When I went to cash out, I got 5 $20s for the $100 just in case...

nope perfectly acceptable. Some rooms don't allow it but they usualyl let it slide the first time. No harm in it

That wouldn't have worked if it was fake. Didn't they check it at the cage?

[/ QUOTE ]I think that's the point. Better to find out right away while the guy is still there (you hope he's still there). Although you might find yourself in a bit of trouble if the cage catches a fake and you're the one who gave it to them.
