I understand this wouldn't work against second level thinkers. I raised preflop, what hand could I have with a 4 in it. I could have a big pocket pair, but if they realized I was TA they would know I would never play an overpair like this. In fact, to an observant opponent, my hand had to be relatively obvious.

I think the flop and turn play are automatic : what do you think of the river?

I'm not sure you should call the flop bet. OK, it's only a 5$ bet into a 3.25$ flop, so you're getting 7-1 pot odds, but the only hands i think he is likely to have would be AT or a PP. So if an Ace comes up, it could very well give him two pair. So the only safe card for you is a K, assuming he didn't call your raise with KT. The backdoor flush draw also doesn't add much to your odds. Anyway, if you have any implied odds at all, and a good read if an A or K comes up, so you know he didn't make his two pair, the call is probably fine.
The river bluff... the straight possibilities do look scary enough to try a bluff... His slowing down on the betting looks pretty weak... But like you said, why would he believe you have a 4?
I think a pot size flop-reraise would be a better bluffing opportunity.

I'm not an expert at this game, so please correct my thinking if i'm wrong.

Good luck.

There are any number of places where a bluff would be appropriate IF weak betting for this player means weak holdings. He really is just screaming to get this pot stolen from him.
