I had a friend in HS who was in a band in Hong Kong called Mad King Frank, and they were labelmates with 'Tokyo Sex Whale' and 'Abo and the Twitch.' A&TT was named for their trumpet player and the twitch he developed from eating so much acid...

I always liked "John Cougar Concentration Camp" as a band name (also taken)...

There was a high school punk band in my town called Strunken White, after that writer's handbook...

For a long time I thought Prozac Cons would be an awesome name, but as I get older, I think less of it.


Anyways, I DID come up with the coolest name ever which none of you are fit to deny! Was going to start up a band with a friend of mine aout 4 years ago where we would be a cheesy 80's cover band, but we would do all songs you NEVER(well WE never heard..) hear other 80's cover bands do. We'd do Night Ranger, but not "Sister Christian", we'd do "When you close your eyes". We'd do Mr. Roboto by Styx, On the loose by Saga, Sweetheart by Frankie and the knockouts, etc. Unfortunately, my buddy was bipolar/manic depressive and couldn't keep his chit together, so we scrapped the idea. Sine we were going to play up the cheesiness, we were planning on our first CD being wrapped like a slice of american cheese, etc. Anyways we were going to be...
