I think pushing is fine. I hate to raise to 1200 and fold to an allin because some guy happens to have A5o.

I've been thinking about this situation a lot lately. I've been fooling around with a different line lately. Raise to 1200. You obviously call if SB pushes, but you can get away from it if BB pushes. This is probably how I'd play aces as well, so hopefully it doesn't give away the strength or lack of to BB.

Interested in comments on this line.

I dont like putting 1/3 of your stack in with a playable hand with the intention of folding, in a 3 handed situation in which you could be played back at with holdings that are far less than premium.

How much do you think the BBs range opens up between you pushing and raising to 1200. Certainly he gains some FE, but do you think it opens his range up that much?

I thought about that, but rejected this strategy because:

1)You reduce your folding equity this way. BB had KQ, but do you think his call was correct?

2)Push/fold strategy can not be exploited here. Raising 3BB can.

I'm not saying it changes his range, I'm saying that I don't like to raise to 1200 and fold. If I did raise to 1200, I'd call an allin from the BB, but I prefer opening allin to discourage him as much as possible.

I think the BB is incorrect to call your allin with KQo. In this circumstance it's unlikely he has the best hand.

That was my point. If I would only raise 2-3xBB he might be correct to call.

Or to reraise allin... I don't want to give them any ideas.
