View Full Version : Best Board Game
I figured I'd get in on the action.
For me, it's either Chutes & Ladders or Candyland.

Monopoly with real money. Like every dollar is a dime is fun. Next is Risk far ahead of anyothers.

I didn't realize serious games were acceptable answers.
In that case, I'll say Backgammon, Chess, Go, Chinese Checkers, Risk, and Monopoly.

There was actually a game to be played? I thought the object of the game was to get the trap to function correctly.

Sh[/i]it. It looked great in the preview window; I used the URL tag like I always do (I've posted many links in here). I have no idea why it spazzed this time.
And it's too late to edit.

there is a lot more to life than risk and monopoly. i can't believe poker players would actually list monopoly as a favorite.

links that are generated from searches have characters that mess up the URL tag.
quick and simple way to clean up the link - when you are at the target thread click the THREADED/FLAT link at the top right a couple times, then copy the resulting link and put that in the URL tag.
this should Work (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=1715163&page=&view=&sb=5& o=&vc=1)

Trivial Pursuit
Boggle (I guess this isn't really a board-game per-se)
Parchesi
Chinese checkers
monopoly with drinking rules and also settlers is awesome.

Diplomacy
Cosmic Encounter (NOT the new 4 player version. EON or Mayfair.)
Diplomacy is the best in terms of game play, but Cosmic Encounter is the best in general because getting 7 players for Diplomacy is a huge pain.
